2003 Honda Shadow 750 Ace-change problems?
Do not get me wrong, my bike is cool! Just 9000 miles, and it is my color, favorite with a custom paint job. The problem is there are so few aftermarket "Pretties", and I find that issues (including issues of strangulation and carbohydrates), I think going to a HD Dyna. I only have 3 gallons and can go about 120 miles between fillup. My husband can go 190 + miles with 5 gallons heritage, what bothers me. He has his bike dressed great, because there are many affordable solutions for HD, so I had to decide on the amendment only Buckhorn handlebar ISO-Grips (and even had to extend my throttle cable to do so). I hate to give up my Paintjob, different cycles of JP, is there any place to get parts accessories Ace affordable and 750, or should receive exactly the Dyna? I searched the Internet and affordable is the key word.
Certainly not so much after parts market for the ACE 750, as it exists for HD motorcycles. However, you can usually find what you're looking at one of the following sites. I have asked several parts Cruiser Customizing my ACE. They were a good source for me. Http: / / www.cruisercustomizing.com/ I heard Bike Bandit is a good place to buy, however, I have no experience with them. http://www.bikebandit.com/ For OEM Honda parts, try: http://www.hondaparts-direct.com / Also, you might be interested Honda Shadow in the web forums. This site is very active and forums are full of shade lovers who are very well informed. Http: / / www.hondashadow.net And finally, recall on eBay Motors. Usually something interesting for ACE bikes are available. As for the size of the shell of the ACE. Normally, I go around 130-140 before filling and even then, I have not touched the subject. I've got about 55 mpg, which is with the after market pipes, K & N air filter and a D-jet. I feel are usually ready for a rest after walking 120 miles anyway. Good luck.
