wheel locked when connected to the engine, but the crank turns when driving alone?
I'll try to put an engine of 06 GMC Denali GMC Sonoma in 98 after turning an influence on my old engine. Both engines are high yields of 4.3 Vortec and Sonoma is a manual transmission and the Denali is a automatically. It's been a long time on this and now everything is done, however, when the engine is bolted in place the transmission can not turn the wheel either. When I put him on a PRYBARS was building the engine and transmission in place to turn. The engine is not captured, only has 6000 miles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You say that Sonoma is a manual transmission? I ask this question because the situation you describe is very similar to what happens when an automatic torque converter completely meaningless. Some engines use several crankshafts, depending on whether a manual or automatic. Part rear of the crankshaft from Denali may not have a space for the input shaft of the manual transmission. When you screw up, the engine can be binding. You should take both outside and look in the rear of the crankshaft. I also want to check the end of its input shaft damage.
