The metallic noise, Manual Honda Accord 05 - What are you doing?
Hello, I just bought a 05 Honda Accord EX Coupe 2.4L 4 cylinder Manual Stickshift. I am having a problem with the train 4 and 5. When you are committed and tear at about 2000-3000 rpm, I can hear the clanging of small but distinct under the hood. It is not safe at all, but I can certainly hear it on a scale of 1 to 10, I would say a 2 or 3. It seems that the information from television or a microphone, or what you hear when you run a power saw. Anybody know what the noise and how much it would cost to repair? Need to be in any art movement of 4th or 5th around 2000-3000 rpm, up to 55 to 70 mph or less. It makes no noise when you release the clutch, and I'm cruising in neutral, but comes immediately when I go to come up again. Thank you.
This could be the pressure plate is in the heart of its mission of noise and could not be anything but an annoying noise just noticed. But to be sure, you might want to run this noise issue and more a friend or a trusted mechanic ... which could have a better idea once they find ... best wishes ...
