How to install a sliding window on a secondary market in 1985 Dodge pick-up? 1 / 2 ton?
Remove the old glass and rubber gasket. spread flat in a new window something like a large trash can, but throw a blanket or towel in the trash 1. install the rubber gasket on the new window, as it was in the glass old. obtain a length of 3 / 16 strings to go through the channel at the outer edge of the rubber gasket. Start a rope in the middle distance and ends there too. ends the rope and pulls off the track inside the glass. of the Assembly's position on the rear window completely open. it is helpful to have someone else to do. while maintaining the Assembly in the position of his friend removed the tape and begins to pull the string on the bottom. you should see the rubber start to roll on the inside edge of the window opening. Pull each string in the bottom corners, then choose a side and start shooting til the rubber rollers on the side. Repeat with the other side. while pulling the rope support if you gently push the outside of the front window where released. You should end up in the middle to the top rope and be free of gums. is much more easier to do than explain here how. Once you do the 1st few steps, you'll see how it should work. good luck. that could be adjusted as you go ... Spray all around the opening rubber and glass cleaner, contributing Lube if rope slips beyond the rubber easier.
