To reconnect the cable, you need 4 connectors F, a piece of RG-6, and 2 barrels. Place a connector on each end of the short piece of coaxial cable to a rider. You need to install F-connectors on the cut ends of the original coaxial connectors with screw bridge the 2 barrels. If not done properly, or have open or short circuit, the cable still not working. My guess is that you have some Shield of the son who are shorting the center conductor. Search all F connectors and make sure no child was thin shield folded within and without pass through the center conductor.
