Tank Mounting
U.S. have been efforts to mount a 57mm (the United Kingdom 6 Pounder) gun Stuart tank.?
I am familiar with the M24 Chaffee tank (I think the best light tank of WW2), replacing Stuart tanks, but have ever tried to gun or 37mm cannon Stuart M5 was also larger than the reservoir could take Stuart? Was it just a part of Britain Stuart or "Honey", to use a water tower?
I doubt that the 57mm M1 can be installed in a turret of Stuart (see below), but I have cared for either a couple of reasons. Already in 1941, a replacement for Stuart has been designed and an experimental prototype of the T7 was equipped with a turret gun turret Ram From Canada and a 57mm cannon in June 1942. Almost simultaneously, another tower was adapted to give more useful 75mm M3 gun. At the time, but T7 has exceeded the category of light tanks and has been re-classified as an M7.
